About

Since 2017, Buffalo Commons, a Steamboat Springs, CO-grown project, has been moving souls and feet.

The band's harmonizing vocals and tight musicianship has sling-shot them into the Colorado Music scene

with huge, infectious energy and an incredibly loyal and fun-loving “Herd” of fans behind them.

You can’t help being captivated by singer/songwriter   + guitarist Tyree Woods‘ soulful and powerful voice, Denton Turner's energetic upright bass, Eric Baker on mandolin, Randy Kelley on fiddle, Dan Harris on banjo, and Tyler Cain on drums provide a full-bodied sound that matches the emotion and intensity of Tyree’s vocals.

With original music, well-devleoped compositions and arrangements, Buffalo Commons stands out as a unique sound in acoustic music. You'll taste the buttery goodness hanging on every note and feel the buzz of the crowd as you enjoy Buffalo Commons’ live sows.

Buffalo Commons - Steamboat band with Soul - by ColoradoBluegrass.org

READ THE REVIEW

This is a band you must see live.  The energy in their live shows is off the charts and there is a reason everyone in the place is dancing and singing along.

They are a band with their own definition and sometimes they call themselves “Soul Grass”.

"I got the invite to travel to The Fox Theatre in Boulder to see the up-and-coming Buffalo Commons. Formed in 2017 and originating out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, it is hardly a surprise that yet another stringed talent has again emerged from the Rocky Mountains."
